Storymaker is the first German PR agency to open an office in China. Since 2007, we’ve been working as a bridge-builder between China and German or other Western European companies that want to increase their visibility and brand awareness in China. Storymaker Public Relations (Beijing) Co., Ltd. is the sister company of our German agency.
In China, we advise companies and institutions on branding and support our customers as a partner in all their corporate communications and PR activities. With a dedicated Sino-German team that works in both countries, we’re able to help you overcome the various intercultural challenges you will face.
Communicating in China is about much more than translation. To get noticed by the Chinese media and other multipliers that generate interest and understanding, one has to be able simultaneously to think from a Chinese perspective while understanding and transmitting German quality and standards.
Storymaker China has a wide network of relationships that helps us meet the many and varied challenges one faces in China. Our clients engage us as lead agency or project partner to develop communications concepts, PR campaigns, media relations, press events, content creation and corporate media. For new comers to the Chinese market or for companies that are already active in China, we offer
tailor-made workshops on intercultural communications as well as media and PR training.
In China as in Germany, building long-term, trustworthy relationships with our customers is absolutely vital to us.
Our clients in China include public institutions (governmental and non-governmental) and private companies from various industries. The PR areas we deal with range from culture and politics to business and technology.
Our biggest project in China thus far was being the communications lead for the 2010 EXPO presence for the project
“Germany and China – Moving Ahead Together” in Shanghai.
A continuation of the “Germany and China – Moving Ahead Together” event series,
Discovery Tour 2011 sends teams consisting of one German and one Chinese journalist to travel together for about 14 days, spending a week together in each country.
Journalists interested in the following topics are invited to apply:

• Sustainable urban development
Journalists may submit their own research in these areas with their applications. For more information about the program, please click
